DataV claims its IoT applications can manage resources and devices through maintenance, optimization and failure prediction, repair, tracking, and other asset management functionality. The Bellevue, Wash.-based company stated that DataV was designed to help businesses turn insights from industrial assets into operational improvements. Businesses can increase asset uptime, reduce costs, increase revenues and more by gathering device data and applying machine learning and rapid data analytics. Bsquare, which was named an AWS IoT Competency Partner (APN) in 2016, said that it uses AWS IoT services like AWS Greengrass and AWS IoT Device Management for customer deployments. The company has not yet provided details about how AWS will work with it to develop future offerings. Kevin Walsh, acting CEO of Bsquare, stated that Bsquare has a long history of success in developing solutions on AWS that aid industrial businesses in achieving their IoT goals. “We share the same commitment for constant innovation that is required to drive digital transformation across a variety industrial and enterprise markets.” We are happy to work with AWS to create more advanced solutions for customers. Bsquare noted cloud connectivity opportunities in a recent 2019 IIoT prediction post. Rebecca Grollman stated: As connectivity to cloud increases, I expect 2019 to bring more willingness to try new data. As data and data possibilities are better understood, I predict that companies will be more focused on improving data collection. Small changes such as changing the frequency and types of data collected, or transforming data differently, can have a significant impact on the ability to generate actionable insights. These changes will improve the understanding of your business and enable you to perform predictive analytics. These changes will allow companies to see how connectivity to the cloud is affecting their business. They can then put these actionable insights to work.
